Dumbbell Step Ups
Master unilateral leg strength. Ensure your knee tracks correctly and you aren't pushing off the back leg.
Instructions
- Place one foot firmly on bench/box.
- Drive through the heel of the top foot to stand up.
- Bring other knee up (optional) or tap box.
- Lower effectively, controlling with the top leg.
- Bottom leg should not push off.
Common Mistakes
- Pushing off the bottom leg (cheating)
- Knee caving inward
- Torso pitching forward
- Box too high (rounding back)
