Split Snatch (From Floor)

Olympic lifting variation. Move feet into a split stance to catch the weight low.

Instructions

  • Start weight on floor.
  • Pull explosively.
  • Drop under the bar by splitting legs (lunge).
  • Catch with arms locked overhead.
  • Recover front foot then back foot.

Common Mistakes

  • Catching with soft elbows
  • Not splitting deep enough
  • Landing on back heel
  • Slow turnover
